Projects
Below are some of the projects that I have been working on recently. Please note that this is a work in progress and I plan on adding new analysis/findings to the project description on a regular basis. The data for the projects is a available online and appropriate links are provided. The complete code for the analysis is hosted on Github respository. In upcoming additions to this blog, I will be adding a 'comments form' for each project page.
1. Frequency of characters in resume
In this project the R script reads a plain text resume to generate a bar plot of all the characters.
2. Work Market
In this project, the jobs in New York were analyzed for various parameters such as agency, job posting duration, job requirements and salary.
3. US Labor Statistics: Layoffs
In this project the layoff data from US Bureau of Labor Statistics was analyzed to identify relevant industries, reasons for layoffs, demographics etc.
4. Twitter API
In this project the 5000 tweets were pulled from #fridayreads using Twitter API in R.
5. Dashboards and Visualizations (in Tableau)
Visualizations using Tableau Desktop trial version software were created.
6. SQL (Structured Query Language) (in Oracle SQL Developer)
This project focusses on use of SQL to extract data from a clean database for analysis.
